Washington, DC - The lives of many Lebanese people were changed forever last Tuesday, August 4, 2020, with the devastating explosions in Beirut killing around 200 people and injuring thousands more. The explosions came at a time of extreme economic, social, and political turbulence, exacerbated by the global COVID-19 pandemic.
As a result, many Lebanese people, refugees, and migrant workers in Beirut have been left homeless with very little resources to depend on for survival. The level of destruction is not only heartbreaking but requires direct and urgent action to help those affected by the blasts.
ADC is asking our members, supporters, and community to please donate to the Lebanese Red Cross. Your donation will be helping those in need of basic resources and necessities in the aftermath.
ADC stands with the people of Lebanon as they navigate through these trying times and hopes that our supporters do the same.
Thank you for your generosity,
Samer E. Khalaf
ADC National President
