DivorceHelp.org to Host Divorce Workshop for Women
at Oneonta Church in South Pasadena on January 9th, 2016
Inaugural Half-Day Workshop from DivorceHelp.org
Delivers Financial, Emotional and Legal Advice for Women Who Are
Contemplating or Facing Divorce in South Pasadena and The San Gabriel Valley
WHAT:        For women who are considering divorce, the ramifications on family, emotional well-being and financial outlook can be overwhelming, even leading them to stay in an unhappy marriage for fear of the unknown – but knowledge and support is now available for women in South Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley areas through the “What Everyone Needs to Know about Divorce” workshop hosted byDivorceHelp.org. These workshops deliver 100% objective financial, emotional and legal advice from highly qualified local professionals in a safe and friendly workshop setting, helping women gain the information and confidence they need to better assess their options during this difficult time in their lives.
BACKGROUND:     For more than 25 years, these divorce workshops have helped nearly 10,000 women navigate the financial, legal and emotional aspects of divorce, a typically traumatic life transition that can be made less painful and stressful through knowledge and support. The concept was pioneered in 1989 as “Second Saturday Divorce Workshops” by the non-profit Women’s Institute for Financial Education (WIFE.org), the nation’s longest-running organization devoted to female financial literacy. As an affiliate of Second Saturday, DivorceHelp.org is bringing comprehensive information and compassionate support to the women of the San Gabriel Valley who are contemplating divorce, helping them avoid the major common pitfalls of the process.
WHO:          Greg Welborn, experienced lecturer, and founder ofDivorceHelp.org will moderate the workshop. A respected authority on personal financial issues and a pioneer in providing objective financial advice to individuals, Greg has provided guidance to Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine for its retirement planning events. He will be joined at the workshop by professional peers from the local financial, legal, real estate and psychological counseling communities, forming a support team to help women through the emotional, legal and financial issues in this difficult phase.
WHEN:        Saturday, January 9th, 2016
8:30 a.m. registration; 11:30 a.m. workshop completed
$40 per person -- all proceeds will be donated to the local community by DivorceHelp.org
WHERE:      Oneonta Congregational Church, 1515 Garfield Avenue, South Pasadena, CA 91030
Note:  the DivorceHelp.org workshop is not affiliated with the church or any other religious organization but we are kindly indebted to them for the use of their facilities.
