LAU's legacy as a school founded by a woman, for women, with proceeds from this year's gala going
to LAU's Arab Institute for Women (AiW), the first of its kind in the Middle East region and one of the

Awards to H.E. Nayla Moawad, founder of The Rene Moawad Foundation, accepted by
her daughter Rima and Mr. Joseph G. Audi, Chairman of Interaudi Bank.
Special musical guest for the evening, tenor Amine Hachem, entertained the guests with
a variety of songs and Journalist Rita Zihenni emceed with elegance. The event was enhanced
further by the presence of Miss Lebanon Maya Reaidy — an LAU Pharmacy student.
