The baby’s uncle Hatem Dawabsheh said the mother, Riham Dawabsheh, 27, had died, making her the third person in the family to die in the attack, which Jewish extremists were suspected of carrying out.

Before dawn on July 31, assailants hurled firebombs into a bedroom of the family’s home in the West Bank village of Duma. Ali Dawabsheh, who was 18 months old, died in the flames. His father, Saad Dawabsheh, 32, who was severely burned, died last month.

The couple’s other son, Ahmad, 4, survived the firebombing.

The attack prompted widespread condemnation and pledges byIsrael’s government to get tougher on Jewish vigilantes who have repeatedly attacked Palestinians and their property over the years.
