Los Angeles, CA - The Oscar® and BAFTA®-qualifying short CLOUT, co-written and directed by Jordan Murphy Doidge, has launched a nationwide UK tour in partnership with Everyman commencing in November 2025.
A haunting tale of youth and obsession, CLOUT follows 13-year-old Oskar (Archie Yates), whose desperate pursuit of attention spirals into something sinister. Often described as “Black Mirror meets Stand By Me”, the short also echoes themes explored in Netflix’s Adolescence, situating it firmly within a global conversation about identity, vulnerability, and the dark side of coming of age online.
Yates, a Critics Choice nominee for Jojo Rabbit, anchors the story with raw vulnerability, alongside a striking ensemble including Anna Wilson-Jones (Black Mirror), Nadine Marshall (Tatami), Samuel Leakey (Gretel & Hansel), and breakout newcomers Obi Oleforo and Ashwin Chandrasekaran. Adding a meta dimension to the critique of influencer culture is Kit Price, a model-turned-actor with more than one million TikTok followers.
Produced by Francis Chapman (In the Summers, Sundance Grand Jury Prize) for Pimlico Pictures, with Lindsay Cullen as co-producer, CLOUT is also a socially conscious project beyond the screen. The team has partnered with leading UK charities Family Lives, The Mix, Into Film, and Arts Emergency to spark vital dialogue around youth mental health and online safety.
Following its world premiere at the Oscar®-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival, CLOUT will roll out nationwide with Everyman. The release will feature curated screenings followed by in-depth Q&As with cast, crew, and mental health partners. With dual qualification for the 2026 Academy Awards® and BAFTA Awards®, the film enters awards season as both a powerful creative work and a timely cultural statement.
As it accelerates through its festival run, CLOUT stands as both a chilling reflection of our times and a rallying cry for awareness. In an age where online attention can mean everything, and cost more than imagined, Jordan Murphy Doidge’s debut resonates as one of the most urgent stories of a generation.
