The truth of separation is difficult, and the loss of loved ones is painful and almost tears hearts apart, but all we can say is that the eyes shed tears and the heart is sad, and we are saddened by your separation, my beloved, and we say only what pleases our Lord. Praise be to God for His judgment and destiny.
Saudi Arabia lost a symbol of the nation and a dear loss, the son of King Fahd; may God have mercy on him. He is His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, who was lost by young and old. Sadness swept Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, and he was buried in Al Oud Cemetery next to his father and uncles. May God have mercy on him and grant him a place in His spacious gardens.
Prince Mohammed bin Fahd is the second son of King Fahd bin Abdulaziz and a prominent figure from the second generation of the royal family. He was born in Riyadh and studied at the school of his father, King Fahd bin Abdulaziz, which is an extension of the school of the founder, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud. He acquired the qualities and capabilities that qualified him to bear responsibility at the highest levels.
I saw the crowds at his funeral; everyone was grieving, and I saw our dear Crown Prince at the forefront of the worshippers, in his spirit, compassion, and closeness. His closeness to the sons of the deceased and his condolences to them stirred my emotions. He is the spiritual father to everyone. Thank you, Crown Prince, for this distinction and constant giving.
I saw the brother of the late His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd, with those sad, crying eyes, and the separation that pained him almost tearing him apart. The eyes of sorrow and grief were evident on his face. He was patient and content, receiving all the mourners. What really tired me was seeing the son of the deceased, Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd, with his looks and paleness as if he were in another world, unable to believe what had happened.
The picture of Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd stirred my emotions and made me feel the separation and its pain. The separation from a father is painful, especially if the father is Prince Mohammed bin Fahd, the man with the beautiful smile and giving hands. It is as if you are saying, and we say with you, separation and distance tear me apart, nostalgia kills me, I yearn for the distant past, I yearn for the past that will not return, I miss a word from him, a look, or a smile, but time deprives me of the sweetness of meeting and the freshness of seeing him.
You left, father, as if you never left. I feel that I see you in every corner of the house, calling me, and I hear you with all my senses. I enjoy your laughter and your mumblings that you used to whisper to me, and I don’t know what you meant, but I enjoyed the closeness of my ear to your lips as I embraced the warmth of your breath. This is how I spoke about my deceased father. Yes, loss is tiring and longing is bitter, but it is God’s will and destiny. Yes, the departure of a father is a true heartbreak that only those who have suffered it can feel, followed by the calamities of longing, yearning, sadness and pain. My father’s departure created an emptiness inside me that cannot be filled.
His Highness passed away after instilling in his sons generosity, kindness, good morals, looking after others, and being kind and compassionate. He was a lover of goodness, generous and munificent, and always smiling at everyone. Saudi Arabia was abuzz with the news of his death, so congratulations to you, Mohammed bin Fahd, for the reputation and good influence you have enjoyed that is told.
We say to you, son of Muhammad, what happened to you happened to us, and your grief is our grief. I will never forget your father, a kind and generous man. I saw him once and he praised me and my profession.
To the gardens of bliss, O son of Al-Fahad. I ask Allah to mend your broken heart and that of your brothers, and to inspire you with patience and solace. Allah's command, and praise be to Allah in all circumstances.
May God have mercy on him. It is enough that he was famous, and the deceased had many efforts in promoting humanitarian work, and helping the poor, people with special needs, and the sick, not only in the Kingdom, but also at the level of the Arab world, through the Prince Mohammed Foundation for Humanitarian Development, in which he held the position of founder and chairman of the board of trustees. May God have mercy on you.
Finally, we offer our condolences to our wise leadership, and our condolences to my master, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, may God protect them, and to all members of the honorable royal family. We offer our condolences to ourselves and to the nation on this painful and painful loss.
