Beirut - Maronite Patriarch Bechara Al-Rahi has called on Lebanese lawmakers to prioritize the election of a president, describing the two-year deadlock as a grave national failure. In his Sunday sermon, he implored God to save Lebanon from the ongoing war and its devastating consequences and urged lawmakers to fulfill their constitutional duties by heading to Parliament and electing a president.
Al-Rahi also expressed gratitude to those working to alleviate the suffering of the displaced, thanking them for their efforts in providing support and compensation for their losses.
