FM, EGYPTIAN, IRAQI COUNTERPARTS AFFIRM CONTINUATION OF COORDINATION, INTEGRATION BETWEEN THEIR COUNTRIES

Jordan - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, and Iraqi Foreign Minister, Fouad Hussein, on Tuesday underlined the importance of continuing to enhance cooperation within the framework of the trilateral coordination mechanism by implementing economic projects and programs that consecrate integration between the three countries, in implementation of the leaders' decisions and the outcomes of the summits they have held.

 
During a press conference after trilateral talks in Cairo, the ministers agreed on implementing a number of projects, agreements and understandings that competent ministers will discuss during close meetings in the fields of energy, infrastructure, reconstruction, food and drug security and other vital sectors.
 
They also emphasized that the trilateral action mechanism aims to enhance integration and build on commonalities to be a model in joint Arab action and a starting point for broader cooperation that will positively affect the three countries and the region in general.
 
The ministers indicated that their talks also dealt with regional developments and ways to deal with them in a way that serves Arab issues and interests and enhances security and stability.
