“If there is a COVID-19 number in Lebanon we should be following other than daily case load, it is the ICU bed occupancy. An occupancy of 77% is alarmingly very high,” Abiad wrote on Twitter.
“While you were sleeping, #COVID19 ICU occupancy in #Lebanon ↑ to 77%. This leaves little room for new admissions, let alone a surge. While there is no quick fix, there are steps we can take to protect ourselves & others. If you are in a position to do so, please take those steps,” Public Health Professional earlier tweeted addressing Abiad.
“#COVID19 Threat Level in #Lebanon updated for 27 September. Overall threat is now elevated to "Critical" as Indicator 3 / ICU Occupancy Rate is at 77%, meaning there is a high risk of hospital overload,” she added.
