I have a love song to sing to you
A song that springs from the bottom of my heart
Where blossoms and petals of roses
Embrace the Glorious LORD
And praise His Holy Name
All the time without cessation
I have a love song to sing to you
A song anointed with heavenly oil
Of joy, rejoicing and tenderness
A song that's balsam to the soul
And healing to the broken hearts!

Peace be to you my beloved ones!
My sons and daughters and wife
And to you Lisa, my glamorous daughter - in - law!        (1)
Do not go!
Where are you going? Where?
Tarry with me!
Stay! Do not go!

The storm of grief will blow
Within my sorrow - laden soul
If you leave me and go!

I have a song to sing to you
A song that has never been sung
By a songster, a songbird!
A song with melodies and tunes
That are played on lyres and harps
By Seraphim and Paradise brides!                                 (2)

My song to you, children of the Most High!,
Is like a spiritual wine
That makes dervishes drunk with ecstasy                      (3)
Sublime, descending from above!

My song is braided with garlands ...
With wreaths of dewy irises...
Chrysanthemum , pansies, and hyacinths!

If you go, my apple of my eye
Do not go afar!
Do not be in a haste!
But wait till I depart...
Till I pass away...
Till my last hour comes
And carries me away...
To my eternal abode!
On the wings of hovering eagles...
Soaring towards wondrous realms!

In a blink, I will fly high!
And you will not see me anymore!
I will not be around!
'Cause I AM is calling me,
Beckoning, " Come hither, my child!
And enter into my rest...
In my mansion which was reserved
And prepared for you
In the beginning when " I was the Word "                          (4)

My song to you, my fondest  hopes,
Will not be a " sounding brass "...
Nor a " clanging cymbal " will it be!                                    (5)
Its lyrics, drawn up from the " Book of Life ",                      (6)
And inspired by the Holy Ghost!
They're God's gift to  give it to you
Wrapped in passionate love
And to pass it on to all mankind!

The rhythm, the rhyme, and the cadence
Of each refrain in my song,
Which I dedicate to you,
Ere I bid you good - bye,
Are whimpering, bleeding and crying out
For they have no place
In this world's stony and dark heart!

This song of mine,
Redeemed children of Emanuel,
Is born of my agonies, groans, and moaning
In Gethsemane... on Via Dolorosa...                                (7)
On the Wailing Wall...
On the thoroughfares of slain Jerusalem!

Lend me your ears...listen to my song!
Do not turn your back to it!
Do not pass by lukewarm,
Giving no heed to its supplications...
To its urgent call
For keeping the Ten Commandments!

My song to you, my beloveds,
Is not like a cheap pop song
Set to adulterous music!
Coming out of infamous taverns
And whorehouses filled with notorious patrons!

My song is like a twinkling star...
A luminous moon in the sky
Dissipating darkness through the night!

Let this song I'm singing to you
Remind you of the days...
The weeks, and the years...
That have passed and gone
- With their bittersweet memories -
Remind you of the things I have done
For every one of you
Regardless of  some lapses...here and there...
And unpleasant deeds that offended God!

I'm not an angel! I'm not a saint!
I'm a poor, sinful creature
Who's trying to do his best
To walk on the right path
And who put his trust in Him,
The One, the only One,
Who made  heaven and earth,
And established the universe
With His mighty, strong arms
And bade all creatures : " Be multiplied! "

I'm a mere shadow... a mere phantom!
That will vanish... pretty soon!
And fade away like a cloud!
I'm no more than a tiny drop
Of water in the ocean of life!
No more than a breath, a blast of wind
Gasping for a while!

Bye - bye, my dear ones, bye - bye!
It's time to pack up!
Time for my ship
To sail far away...
Towards felicitous, care - free lands!
Where I will be with the Prince of Peace,                          (8)
Who shed His blood for you and me
And for our iniquities...paid the price!

What are these tears
That are flowing from your eyes?
And streaming like a river...
On your rosy cheeks?
No more sobbing , prithee!
No more wailing , prithee!
No more weeping!
Do not cry!

Come! Adorn my grave...
With roses of Sharon...
With roses of Jericho
After you bury my corpse
Deep in the ground!
And on my tomb's headstone
Engrave these words :
" Alas! We knew him not!
Who he was...
When he was among us
Singing his favorite hymn :
" Glory to God in the highest
And on earth peace
And good will toward men! "

I pray thee, let me leave
Do not grieve!
When I embark and my ship sets sail
At sunset, or at dawn!

Leave me alone and go home
With the love, I always gave to you
With the songs, I used to sing to you
 In weal and woe!

My last words to you, precious ones
Love one another, sisters and brothers,
Mother - in -law and daughter - in - law,
And live together, happy and united family!

Farewell to thee! My special ones!
Let me now go!
I need to go!
They're hastening my steps!
They want me to go!
Since long ago!
The Host of Heaven
To live forever there
In the Kingdom of God!
